Financial Seminars that Work
by admin ~ January 14th, 2011. Filed under: seminar marketing, seminars.I have talked to many financial advisors and insurance professionals that have trouble marketing for new clients. They try different tactics and systems and don’t have sufficient results” seminar marketing, direct mail, employing telemarketers, etc. These producers then report “financial seminars don’t work” or “direct mail doesn’t work” or “Internet leads don’t work.” But if you can find one other financial advisor or insurance agent for which these methods DO work, then the conclusion that “they don’t work” must be incorrect. The only correct conclusion is “you don’t know how to make them work.”
It is amazing how we always find the blame elsewhere and rarely in our own shortcomings. In fact, we are all lazy to learn and look for the answers. You can be a great seminar marketer if you use the Internet to search for solutions and be willing to try and fail. It’s through repeated failures in seminar marketing that you learn what is highly profitable. But we can save you time and rails with our download.
Financial seminars DO work and there are thousands of financial advisors and insurance agents gaining new clients at a rapid pace making boatloads of money. The reason that your financial seminar did not work is that there is a winning formula which you did not possess.
Here are the six things you must now to have success with financial seminars.

Great read. It’s very true that one can be a great seminar marketer if they use the Internet to search for solutions and if they are willing to try and fail. There is a 20-80 rule that applies to every effort. 20% of the input is what yields 80% of what the yield is.

The most important is how to implement what seminars discuss about
. Discussion, plan and action! Good posting.

It is so important to have a good product as a quality. Many times this part is forgotten and this causes, what causes it. And it is vital that existing customer loyalty is another point that is often forgotten.

I agree with you that financial seminars work. There is no point in blaiming them… And of course they work If done correctly. And there not a lot of people/organizations that offer quality seminars!

Some people might say that the era of seminars has gone. But I’d still insist on part of my personal experience that financial seminars really help. And, who says they don’t teach the implementation part? It is for people to really work upon it.

I enjoyed your article on Financial Seminars, but one important thing that you missed out was the personality and approach of the person delivering the seminar which I think is crucial. You need to make your financial seminar stand out from the rest in some way, make it fun, make it interesting, make it memorable…….make people want to buy from you!

As a marketer I see this often – people trying one channel once – counting it as a campaign, see their limited leads or conversions as failure and then giving up.
The truth to the matter is, a marketing campaign needs to be well thought out and it needs to be consistent and ongoing. You can’t just give up because the first time wasn’t a huge success. As with anything, with practice comes experience, and with experience comes success. Marketing is about repeating yourself until your core target market gets your message.

I agree completely with this article. We work for several printers, marketers and financial and insurance advisors directly. We have provided several mailing lists for seminar mailings with age, income, net worth and income producing assets. The biggest complaint they have are people attend the seminar for the free meal. Well of course they are!! That is the point of the seminar. Once you have them there, that is when sales 101 kicks in. You are either a closer or your not.

Financial Seminars may work, no doubt, but how to find the right ones? Many times they are quite expensive.

Yes we can attend tons of financial seminars but I believe that every person is unique and what works for others may not work for you. So step up and apply those learning you got from the seminars you attended and add your own strategy. Who knows, you can come up with another unique idea and you can be the next financial adviser.
